President and Founder
Craig currently works for the State of Oregon, Department of Human Services. Craig is a graduate of North Park College in Chicago, IL, with a degree in Business and Finance. Craig has participated as a committee chairperson in various roles as a member of Court Street Christian Church. Craig and Abby have been married since 1998 and have one son, Bryson (13). Craig founded Darian’s Gift in January of 2010 to assist other families dealing with pediatric cancer after losing his 6 year old son, Darian, to Osteosarcoma in April of 2009.
Pete was a longtime supporter of Darian’s Gift and joined the Executive Board in January of 2013. Pete is known as a guy that gets things done and will serve as the Family Service Coordinator, working to meet the physical needs of local families while their children are in cancer treatment. Pete is married to Kathi and has two beautiful daughters. When not volunteering with Darian’s Gift Pete enjoys golfing and working on cars.
Ben Gille is the newest member of the Darian’s Gift Board of Directors taking over as Treasurer in May of 2014. Ben is a long time friend of the King families, and a CPA who has worked for the State of Oregon Department of Revenue for over 20 years. Ben brings a fresh perspective and another servent’s heart to the organization. He and his wife, Dawn, have been married 22 years and have two son’s, Nathan and Matthew.
Gregg is the older brother of Darian’s Gift President, Craig King, and the proud uncle of Darian and Bryson King. Gregg brings years of volunteer experience to the Darian’s Gift Board. Prior experience includes Habitat for Humanity, Court Street Christian Church Men’s Ministries, Sprague Little League and Salem Youth Sports Development, Inc. Gregg’s focus for Darian’s Gift will be fundraising and community relations. Gregg’s life was changed forever witnessing the courage and determination of his nephew, Darian. After seeing first hand the needs of families dealing with pediatic cancer, Gregg welcomed the opportunity to work with Darian’s Gift to help other families. Gregg and his wife, Joy, have two active teenage sons, Josh and Aaron.
